Is the CRS 405 really an Artistic skate?
As you can guess, because you're only paying around $50 for this skate, it's not a competition quad skate. As Artistic skates are used in figure skating, freestyle and art skating, there is a place for everything. A low end, free skate is just what the Chicago CRS 405 quad skate is. Do not think that you can save a few bucks and get the same type of performance that you would out of say, a $700 Artistic roller skate.
Your higher end Artistic skates will have a leather boot, strong sole plate, jump bar for reinforcement and a plate made of stainless steel or aluminum to absorb the shock of jumping and landing.
