Which is a better brand of hockey skate?
I earned $500 not too long ago and i noticed my skates were falling apart. So I'm deciding whether to buy a pair of Easton S15 Skates or the RBK 9K pump skates. Eastons have been great on me but people have suggested the RBKs just for the pump feature. Which is better? Thanks.
The pump is more or less a gimick. I used a pair of 9ks at a demo day for my store and was definitely disappointed. It added a little bit of comfort, but did not make any difference to my skating whatsoever. The overall skate was heavier (not even close) than the s15's, vapor xxxx's and supreme one90's (this was a little while back).
I would 100% recommend the s15's over the pumps, though I will always recommend bauer skates (vapors in particular, mostly on personal preference) over any other brand.
