Hockey Lace
im shopping for a new pair of hockey skates, what should i look for?
i have about ten years of competitive ice hockey experience. but i havent laced up the skates in 2 years. im playing in a recreation league right now and my old buaer vapor 7's arent cutting it anymore. i do know where a good pro shop is here in town and i was looking to get a little information as to what i should look for befor i go down there. any suggestions?
My last 2 pairs of skates have been Graf, they're my favourite but just try on lots of styles and makes and if possible, get them molded. I also like nike bauer

Roller Hockey Laces?
Is there a way to get the laces on roller hockey skates tight enough without buying a special devise?
Sure!! Same way as on any skate, roller or ice! Start from the Toe up tighten them as best you can. If they are Brand new skates, and/or Laces, they are gonna need time to break in anyway. But, in due time repeating the same process will get them worked in quite well for you and your feet!
If it still doesn't help much, then try switching to a thinner lace, they will pull tighter then really thick ones, but they don't last as long.
