In 2011, the Australian Open is the 99th edition of the Australian Open, which currently takes place at Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Victoria. The tournament is an event organized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) which is part of the 2011 tour of ATP and WTA Tour World 2011 calendar. The tournament included both men and women singles and doubles draws and one mixed doubles event. There are also singles and doubles events for boys and girls (players under 18) and a tennis player in a wheelchair (they compete in three categories: men, women and quads). The tournament will be played on 25 Plexicushion outdoor hard courts, including the three Showcourt, Hisense Arena, Margaret Court Arena and Rod Laver Arena.

2011-Australian Open will offer record earnings for men and women on a total of $ 25 million (24 million), up 3.8% of the total price of 2010. The winners of the singles titles will be at home A $ 2,200,000 ($ 2,100,000) with the finalists receive a $1.1 million ($ 1 million). To put this in perspective Kim Clijsters and Rafael Nadal both took home $ 1.7 million to win the 2010 U.S. Open.

Men's standing:

Rafael Nadal - Nadal, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, is a roll, having won the last three Grand Slam tournaments. In total, 43 individual titles and nine great career hits, including this tournament in 2009. It is known for its high speed capacity, heavy topspin, and the ability to get almost every ball in play, trying to recover from a disappointing finish in this tournament last year when he was forced to drop due to injury to Andy Murray. If you win here, will become the first man since Rod Laver to hold all four Grand Slams at the same time.

Roger Federer - The current world # 2 is widely considered the greatest tennis player of all time. He won 67 tournaments in his career including a record 16 grand slams. He won the tournament four times. He is known for his great all-around game. Works well, burns well, moves well, is a good base line, a strong line, after all, has no weaknesses.

Women's Standing:

Carloni Wozniacki - Wozniacki is the # 1 ranked player in the world and was last year. She has won twelve titles in singles, but no big, if she was a finalist at the 2009 U.S. Open. It is known to be a regular player who makes few mistakes, but he has yet to translate into a headline. She has not had much success at the Australian Open, has not been past the fourth round, but it is due for a breakthrough here.

Vera Zvonareva - Zvonareva is ranked No. 2 in the world and was a finalist in last year's U.S. Open. His nerves have defeated her in the final but it was demolished by Kim Clijsters. In her career she won 10 singles titles. She is known as a Counterpunch with good speed and fitness. His greatest weakness is that it is very temperamental and fragile mentally. If she can keep her in check emotins, if it is a threat to go through.

The Australian Open begins at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 17, with the final championship match, the Men's Singles Final, set for 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 30 – all local Melbourne time.
